2008 Calendar of Events Woodland Camp Information for Activities Monthly Events 2008 All events will sell 50/50 tickets. Bingo Games: Bingo games will be Adults $5.00 to play first 9 games and $1.00 per card for the bonus game. Children will be $1.00 per card. Adults will receive cash and Children will receive prizes. If you have an ink dobber bring it, or they will be sold at the bingo game. There will be snacks sold at each game. Please be at the Clubhouse 30 minutes early to pay and get setup for your game. Bingo will start at 7:00 p.m. Pot Luck Dinners: Bring a dish with you or a dessert. If you do not have one you can pay $3.00 for Adults and $1.50 per child ages 1-11 years. Bring your own beverage or you can purchase a can of pop for 75 cents per can. Everyone welcome. Tournaments: There will be a charge to participate in these events and cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Bake and Craft Sale: Bake and craft sale will be at the clubhouse and there will be a fee for renting a booth if you would like to sell crafts. The sale will run from 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 noon. All are welcome to come and buy the crafts and baked goods. Carnival Day: The carnival will be Block 16 this year. Refreshments will be sold and the cost of tickets for the games will be $.35 per game or 3/$1.00. If you would like to purchase tickets before the event see Mary Francis in block 15, Lot 79 before 11:00 a.m.. Please come and join us for the fun and games. If you would like to participate in the races, please sign up at least 30 minutes before the races start. The races will be announced in the newsletter at a later date. April: April 25th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. April 26th Mexican Pot Luck Dinner. Everyone should bring a Mexican dish or something else. You could even make a dessert. May: May 2nd: Adult Poker and game night at 6:30 p.m. May 3rd: Kids crafts $2.00 each. This day we will be making a Mother’s Day and Grandmother’s gift for the dinner on May 10th. Mother’s and Grandmother’s need to sign up at the Clubhouse today if you plan on coming to the dinner. Please come and support your children and grandchildren for the dinner. May 9th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. May 10th: Mother and Grandmother dinner. Time is at 6:30 P.M. at the clubhouse. The children will need to be at the clubhouse by 4:30 to make the dinner. The children will be serving this dinner. May 16th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. May 17th: Bingo game will start at 7:00 P.M. Please be at the clubhouse by 6:30. May 23rd: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m.
May 24th: Horseshoe Tournament will be at 1:00 p.m. Everyone should be at block 16 by 12:30. May 30th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. May 31st: Pot Luck Dinner. Time: 6:00 p.m. Sloppy Joe’s will be server. June June 6th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. June 7th : Kid’s crafts $2.00 each. This day we will be making a Father’s Day and Grandfather’s gift for the Dinner on June 14th. The father and grandfathers that are going to come should sign up at the clubhouse today or before Wednesday, June 11th. June 13th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. June 14th: The Father’s and Grandfather’s dinner. Time 6:30 p.m. The children will be making and serving this dinner. June 20th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. June 21st: Bingo game will start at 7:00 p.m. Please be at the clubhouse at 6:30 p.m. to get yourself set up for the games. Children ages 5-17 are welcome to come and play with us. All 10 games are $1.00 for the children. June 27th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. June 28th: Pot Luck Dinner. Time 6:00 p.m. If you have more than one person in your family you have to make a dish or pay for each person in your family. June 28th: Volunteers please sign up to help with the Pancake Breakfast on July 5th. The sign up sheet will be at the clubhouse on the bulletin board. July July 3rd: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:300 p.m. July 4th: We will be having a parade and will be judging the golf carts at 3:00p.m. There will be a wagon ride after the judging and if you want a ride please watch for the tractor and wagon to come by to pick you up. Please remember there are no fireworks allowed in the park at anytime. You can go down by the river. Thank you. July 5th: Pancake Breakfast will be served from 7-9 a.m. The cost will be Adults #3.00 and Children $1.50 for ages 1-11. All are welcome to join us for breakfast and conversation. July 11th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 in the clubhouse. July 12th: Pool Tournament will be at the clubhouse at 1:00 p.m. The cost will be $5.00 each. Ages 13-99. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner. Please be at the clubhouse by 12:30 p.m. to sign up. July 18th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. July 19th: Bingo will start at 7:00p.m. Please be at the clubhouse by 6:30 p.m. to get yourself set up for the games. Children ages 5-17 are welcome to come and play with us. All 10 games are $1.00 for the children. July 25th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. July 26th: Pot Luck Dinner. Time 6:00 p.m. The theme is chicken and you can bring a dish or chicken. If you have more than one person in your family you have to bring a dish or pay for each person in your family. August August 1st: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. August 2nd: Kids will be making cookies at the clubhouse to sell for the Social Club. There will not be a charge for this event. Kids should be at the clubhouse by 1:00 p.m. August 8th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. August 9th: Dart Tournament will be at 1:00 p.m. The cost will be $5.00 to play. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner. Please be at the clubhouse by 12:30 p.m. to sign up for the game. Ages 13-99. Popcorn balls will be made to sell at the clubhouse at this time. Please stop by and buy the pop corn balls and watch the tournament. The popcorn balls will be 50 cents each. August 15th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. August 16th: Bingo will start at 7:00 p.m. Please be at the clubhouse by 6:30 to get yourself set up for the games. Kids ages 5-17 are welcome to come and play with us. All 10 games are $1.00 for the children. August 16th: Please sign up if you plan on being at the Crab Dinner on the 23rd of August. There will be a sign up sheet at the clubhouse. The cost will be $13.00 each person and it will be reservation only. August 22nd: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. August 23rd: Crab dinner will be at the clubhouse at 6:30 p..m. Reservation only. August 29th: There will not be Poker or Games tonight. August 30th: Day Weekend Big day ahead. Craft and Bake sale from 9-12 p.m. Carnival Day. 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. All are welcome. September 5th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. September 6th: Children from the ages of 5-17 are welcome to come on a nature walk. Please bring your lunch with you and your walking shoes. The time will be at 11:30-1:00 p.m. September 12th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. September 13th: Poker Run at 1:00 p.m. Please be at the clubhouse at 12:30 p.m. to enter the Poker Run. The cost will be $5.00 for each set of cards. September 19th: Adult Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. September 20th: Sleep over for the Teenager’s between the ages of 13-17. The time will be 10:30 p.m. till 7:30 a.m. in the morning. No one will be able to leave the clubhouse once your signed in. Bring your sleeping bags or blankets. If you have games or cd’s to play you can bring them as long as they do not have bad language on them. There will be a sign in sheet at the clubhouse. I will need a written slip from your parents with Name, Block, Lot Number and phone number for you to attend. Snacks will be served and breakfast for those who attend. September 26th: Last Poker and Game night at 6:30 p.m. September 27th: Last Pot Luck Dinner for the season at 6:30 p.m. Chili will be the theme. There will a prize for 1st. 2nd, and 3rd place. If you have more than one person in your family you have to bring a dish or pay for each person in your family. October 11th: Halloween Party. The Halloween Contest will be at 1:00 p.m. Be there by 12:45 to get ready to line up for the judging. There will be a parade after the judging. This is the weekend for the hot dog roast. It will start at 4:00 p.m. If you want to attend the hot dog roast you will have to bring a dish with you. The last two years we had campers and their family attend and did not bring anything with them. We do not have enough food to serve everyone when this happens. So, Please be considerate of others and bring a dish. Hot dogs and pop will be furnished. If you do not bring a dish the cost will be $3.00 per Adult and $1.50 per child ages 1-12.
